Do teachers think it is safe for schools to reopen?

Delta is a variant of the coronavirus that originated in India, also known as B.1.617.2. The first case was identified in December 2021, and soon became the dominant strain in India and the United Kingdom. According to the CDC, the delta variant is “more than two times as contagious as previous variants” and it resulted in more than 80% of the new U.S. covid cases by the end of July 2021. According to experts, even though covid vaccinations dramatically reduce the risk of hospitalization, mild and asymptomatic illnesses are still possible.
